Description

Description

The aim of this module is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to process the registration of applications for international protection.

This module covers the legal framework on international protection with a focus on access to the asylum procedure and the steps of the registration process. It also focuses on the safeguards for applicants with special needs registration and on communication techniques for conducting registration.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

  1. Describe the main EU legal provisions on international protection, specifically those relating to registration
  2. Follow the different steps of the registration process and apply procedural safeguards for applicants with special needs during registration
  3. Adopt an appropriate approach to communication during registration

This module is delivered through a blended learning methodology (online and face-to-face). Online learning contains learning activities that assess progress toward the learning outcomes, and the face-to-face session focuses on complex elements that require discussion.

This module will be upgraded as part of the restructuring of the European Asylum Curriculum.
