Foreword
Welcome to the European Asylum Curriculum Training Catalogue.
At the European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA), we are committed to supporting Member States in building fair, efficient, and rights-based asylum and reception systems. Training is a key part of this mission, and the European Asylum Curriculum (EAC) plays a central role in strengthening the capacity of asylum and reception professionals across Europe and beyond.
The EAC is a comprehensive, structured training framework developed to equip practitioners at all levels with the knowledge, skills, and professional standards required to implement the Common European Asylum System (CEAS). Developed in close collaboration with Member States and external experts, and grounded in international and EU legal instruments, the curriculum supports consistent, high-quality practice throughout the EU.
In this catalogue, you will find an overview of all available modules — spanning foundational, core, advanced, and specialised areas. The curriculum covers the full breadth of asylum and reception topics, from legal procedures and inclusion criteria to vulnerability, reception conditions, country of origin information, and resettlement. It also supports professional development through modules for trainers, assessors, and managers, as well as tailor-made training that responds to emerging needs and specific operational contexts.
We are proud to introduce newly developed self-paced online modules based on the Pact on Migration and Asylum, offering timely and flexible learning opportunities that reflect the latest legislative developments. In addition, the European Sectoral Qualifications Framework (ESQF) underpins the entire curriculum, ensuring that learning outcomes are clearly defined, measurable, and aligned with real-world tasks.
To further enhance the impact of our training, voluntary assessments are now available for selected modules. These assessments provide learners with the opportunity to demonstrate the achievement of learning outcomes and give administrations confidence in their personnel’s readiness to apply their skills in practice.
All training is delivered through a combination of formats—face-to-face, online, blended learning, and webinars—making it accessible, adaptable, and learner-focused. Whether you are just beginning your career or taking on a more specialised or strategic role, the EAC offers you a path to grow, develop, and contribute meaningfully to a common, high-quality European asylum system.
I wish you every success in your learning journey.
