EASO cooperation with Egypt: Activities within the EASO Egypt Roadmap for Cooperation’s framework
EASO organised an Access to Procedures Workshop in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt, within the framework of the EASO – Egypt Roadmap for Cooperation that focuses on capacity development activities to contribute to the national asylum law drafting process and to the enhancement of access to current international protection procedures for vulnerable groups.
The workshop saw a good participation from the 18 representatives of Egyptian Ministries and organisations such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Defence, the National Council on Childhood and Motherhood and the National Council for Human Rights.
The workshop was delivered in a hybrid modality with some speakers taking the floor in presence while others, including EU+ experts from Italy, France and Malta, and EASO colleagues connected remotely.
The hybrid solution worked well from a technical point of view, while EASO presence offered the possibility to clarify and discuss details or information given during the different presentations.
