As part of the EASO – Turkish Directorate General of Migration Management (DGMM) Roadmap, EASO’s External Dimension Sector organised four activities in November:
- The EASO-DGMM 3rd Workshop on Contingency Planning held in Ankara (Turkey) on 28-29 November 2018. The workshop represented an excellent opportunity for DGMM in cooperation with EASO, to discuss and further develop the draft contingency planning. Experts from EASO, the Swedish Migration Agency (SMA), DGMM and Provincial Directorates of Migration Management (PDMMs) took part in the activity.
- The EASO-DGMM Meeting on Decision Centres held in Ankara (Turkey) on 29-30 November. An EASO delegation, composed of representatives from different units, met with DGMM counterparts to exchange up-to-date information on the Turkish Decision Centres, identify similarities with EASO operations in Italy and Greece and further discuss EASO support.
- On 19-22 November 2018, the External Dimension Sector, in collaboration with the EASO Training Unit, organised two workshops attended by Migration Experts from the Directorate General for Migration Management (DGMM) of the Turkish Ministry of Interior. The experts focused on referencing of EASO training modules on Trafficking in Human Beings and Interviewing Vulnerable Persons in view of their adaptation to Turkish legislation.
