
EASO provides Member States with high quality training materials and supports them with regards to training organisation and the delivery of training courses.
On the 13th of February the EASO Training Platform (LMS) was launched with a revamped look, also following a major upgrade of the system’s functionalities. The EASO LMS is the central hub of EASO’s training activities and plays a pivotal role in training delivery and its administration. The system’s end-users are supported on a daily basis, through the provision of services such as the user registration process, making online courses available to users in national languages and via helpdesk support.
The scope of the revamp was twofold: aimed firstly at updating the look & feel of the system streamlining it with EASO’s updated branding, and secondly at upgrading the system to its newest version with several improvement on the end-user experience.
These improvements were centred primarily around:
- Improving the visibility of activities of the Training and Professional Development Centre directly on the system’s first page, by linking it to key publications, promotional videos, staff profiles and an FAQ section directed to EASO’s end-users.
- Modernising the colour scheme and design elements of the whole system, while increasing use of visual aids
- Enhancing navigation, though the introduction of collapsible navigational drawers (“burger menu”)
- Personalising and refreshing of the personal dashboard of users with the implementation of a cleaner interface.
