Launch of the EASO Asylum Report 2021

 

On 29 June 2021, the European Asylum Support Office (EASO) will launch the 2021 edition of its annual flagship EASO Asylum Report. Due to the COVID-19 situation, this year we will be holding an online event to present and discuss the findings of the report, as well as developing asylum trends in the EU. 

To attend the event simply register here. Following your registration, in due course, you will receive communication confirming your attendance, technical guidelines, detailing the steps you are advised to follow for a successful participation and a unique URL to grant you access to the event platform. 

The launch of the EASO Asylum Report 2021 is livestreamed on Facebook and YouTube for the general public.

EASO’s annual flagship report serves as the EU’s primary means of evaluating the functioning of the Common European Asylum System (CEAS). As the go-to source of information on international protection in Europe, the EASO Asylum Report 2021 provides a comprehensive overview of recent key developments in asylum. The report outlines changes in asylum trends and policies, shares best practices and summarises challenges which persist. 

During the event, together with Ylva Johansson, European Commissioner for Home Affairs, Mikael Ribbenvik, Chair of the EASO Management Board and EASO experts, EASO’s Executive Director, Nina Gregori will present recent developments in asylum trends, legislation and policies, best practices and challenges which persist.

The event will also include a live Questions and Answers sessionQuestions for the speakers can be submitted in advance by email or asked in writing during the virtual event.
