New additions to the Who is Who platform

Regularly updated with new sections, the platform Who is Who in International Protection in the EU+ has been updated with new overviews of authorities responsible for reception conditions and resettlement.

Who is who

Reception

The Who is Who platform now includes a map of reception authorities in EU+ countries. The interactive map allows users to explore the legal status, role, competencies, and organisational structure of national authorities who provide reception to asylum seekers.

The Reception Conditions Directive establishes common standards in the area of reception to ensure comparable and dignified living conditions for asylum seekers in Europe. The platform is accompanied by a report of the findings, Reception Authorities, Issue No 5. The report highlights convergence and divergence in practices between countries.

Resettlement

As an expression of international solidarity, resettlement involves several national and international stakeholders. Through European Union (EU)-coordinated resettlement schemes, Member States can make national pledges to admit a certain number of refugees. The new report, Authorities and Organisations Involved in Resettlement and Humanitarian Admissions, is accompanied by an interactive data visualisation on the Who is Who platform.
