Surveys of Arriving Migrants from Ukraine: Movements and Returns Report

Movements and Returns is a report from the European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA), with a valuable contribution from Gradus Research Company. The report highlights the prevailing themes emerging from forced displacement, related to movements to the EU, intra-EU, and returns. This report draws on 7,600+ replies to the Survey of Arriving Migrants from Ukraine questionnaire collected between February 2023 and November 2024 with related personal testimonies; it is integrated by a review of external comparable sources, by data collected and analysed by Gradus Research – based on a panel of 1,250 individuals living in Ukraine, and a qualitative analysis of transcripts of interviews with five experts in migration based in Ukraine has been conducted by Gradus Research. Quantitative and qualitative approaches were combined to underscore concerns the current analytical focus.
