DESCRIPTION

The aim of this module is to provide learners with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify persons who may make an application for international protection to ensure access to the asylum procedure in compliance with fundamental rights.
This module focuses on equipping learners with the knowledge and skills to identify individuals who may wish to apply for international protection, ensure their access to the asylum procedure in line with Fundamental Rights, and provide the necessary information according to the EU asylum acquis. It is divided into four sub-modules, each corresponding to a key task in the asylum process, including identifying potential applicants, understanding their rights and obligations, recognizing special needs indicators, and communicating required information. The module incorporates formative assessments based on video case studies, aligning with the summative assessment tasks.

At the end of this module, the learner will be able to:

  1. Identify indicators showing that a person may need to or wish to make an application for international protection in different contexts related to access to the asylum procedure
  2. Identify the key fundamental rights and obligations of persons who might need or wish to apply for international protection in accordance with the asylum procedure

  4. Identify the relevant information on the rights and obligations of persons who might need or wish to apply for international protection and the appropriate communication techniques

DELIVERY METHOD

This module is delivered through automated online training with access to a trainer for discussions. It consists of four sub-modules, each focused on a specific learning outcome, and includes videos, animations, and interactive activities like reflection exercises, quizzes, and case scenarios.

 

ASSESSMENT STRATEGY

The assessment strategy is based on one assessment at the end of the module and is designed to assess the elements of the learning outcomes of the module.
